Having owned them all at one time or other, in my 47 years of guitar playing, the American Stratocaster is THE best guitar on the planet for the money. It is lighter than a Gibson Les Paul which is easier on the shoulder after those long sets. It’s classic design / looks are timeless. Out of the box it has it’s own distinct Fender sound as well. I have an ART 2000 which I ‘filter’ this guitar through and my sounds are limitless. I notice that another reviewer says to ‘save money and get the MIM
Every auto part is important. All of these work together to ensure that the vehicle can operate properly. The interior auto parts are considered the primary source of power that enables other components to function while the exterior car parts are utilized to boost the vehicle’s overall performance. The Bavarian Motor Works or more famously known as BMW, equips well-designed and meticulously-engineered interior and exterior auto parts in its vehicles. True German ingenuity is evident in the sleek look of BMW vehicles courtesy of the way the exterior parts are put together to achieve the right aerodynamics. One of the key players outside a BMW model is the BMW Fender.
The BMW Fender is a standard automotive part for all BMW models. Placed at the side portions of the automobile, each BMW Fender has the primary task of housing the wheel as well as the vehicle’s Fender(R) 010-0202-850 American Vintage ?52 Telecaster(R) Electric Guitar body. As a protective gear for the wheels, the BMW Fender assembly guards the wheels from road grimes, which include dirts like mud and solid road particles like rock, that can very much weaken these car parts. Moreover, each BMW Fender helps keep the vehicle’s body clean by preventing hazardous solid particles, which the wheels’ ridges can pick up, from ricocheting straight into it. So in a way, these BMW auto parts function similarly to the mud flaps and prevent more damages such as breaks, cracks, and dents. Aside from keeping the vehicle’s body clean, the BMW Fender can act as a shock part as it can absorb impact especially during side collisions.
Most of the fenders available in the market are made of hard plastic, urethane, or a fine-blown substance commonly known as fiberglass. Like most auto parts, the fender can also be customized. If a BMW owner decides to use bigger wheels for the vehicle, the fenders or car wings have to be altered too in order to fit the new wheels. Moreover, the car wings can be installed with the fender flares that can provide more room for the wheels. Fender flares are usually utilized by vehicles with wider-built wheels such as SUVs and trucks.
The BMW Fender still has more to offer because this auto part does not only protect the wheels and the vehicle’s body as it can also add to the sleek and muscular look of the BMW as well as achieving the right aerodynamics. The BMW Fender just shows how useful this auto part is, thus making it one of the crucial staples that vehicles are equipped with.
Well, I have a little issue, or so I think. I just purchased a Fender Strat Standard today in white so I can eventually build it up and turn it into David Gilmour’s 0001. My question though is:http://www.sweetwater.com/store/closeup/099-1386-002–MainThat Fender(R) 010-0202-850 American Vintage ?52 Telecaster(R) Electric Guitar is the correct size of a pickguard to fit my Strat, but in order to complete the look of 0001, I need this pickguard that I will link below, which supposedly won’t fit my guitar because it was made for a 57 Strat model.http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/099-2143-000/So my question is, are 57 Strats and Standard Strats really that different, and would the gold pickguard fit my Standard Strat? Any help as usual would be really appreciated. Thank you in advance! Thanks Flatstick. Actually I’m also swapping out all standard pickups for a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 in the bridge and for an SSL-1 in both the middle and neck positions.

Do not buy Fender Mexican Stratocaster Electric Guitar 2001-2002 until you read what I have to say
Own it and played it many times. Been playing Strats over 40 years. Have 10 Strats including a MB. While the S1 gives a great boost for lead, the overall tone for the general guitar is moderate. Same for playability, no better than regular Strats, AM or MIM. Definitely Not any better than a $500 MIM Strat. It is indeed pretty, but playability and great Strat tone is what you are really after. The MIMs deliver the biggest bang for the buck best. Better to buy a MIM and save money. Note, there is no bad Fender Strat. Get one.
I got this with discounts for real cheap at Sam Ash. Unfortunately, this instrument is only worth what I paid for it. In fact, I’ve now been through two of these, and I’m quite unimpressed. The first one I got had a very nice body with good tone, but a severely warped and bowed neck. Squier replaced the whole bass warranty (they wouldn’t just replace the defective neck). As I feared, the new bass doesn’t have as nice a body, and the neck still sucks.
The first body was made of two pieces, nicely matched with the seam down the middle. Sadly, the replacement bass has its seam WAY off center, and the two pieces don’t match at all. Fugly!
The new neck is horribly bowed and has terrible buzzing above the 12th fret, so I have to raise the action unnecessarily high. Adjusting the truss rod is a scary ordeal. I’m afraid to adjust it too tight – the neck feels so flimsy. Every day I give it a turn to remove some of the bowing, and the next day the neck is bowed again.
If you don’t mind high action and some string buzz, this could be a nice cheap bass for you. I bought this because I needed THAT Fender tone for a recording project, and wasn’t getting it with my much more expensive Sting Ray 5. The Squier gets the tone alright, but it’s no sub for a real Fender Jazz Bass.
