He was born Clarence Leonidas Fender on August 10th 1909. Leo Fender is an American inventor. That was named the broadcaster. But because of a copyright infringement threat from Gretsch Company, stating that the name broadcaster was too similar with their drum products. That is why he changed the name to telecaster. Which will later be the world’s most popular guitar name.
Leo Fender was very humble and very friendly to his employees. He died in 1991 from Parkinson’s disease. He never learned how to play the guitar, but despite that, he still has contributed the largest contribution to the guitar world.
